An all but forgotten curio from Robert Redford’s early career, Little Faus and Big Halsy, goes into limited release. Written by estimable script-doctor Charles Eastman and directed by Sidney J. Furie, Redford’s titular Halsy is a professional motorcycle racer who enters into an opportunistic partnership with the cherubic Michael J. Pollard’s Faus, a put-upon amateur racer attracted to Halsy’s footloose, skirt-chasing lifestyle. Their unlikely union starts to unravel with the arrival of Lauren Hutton’s wealthy racing groupie. Johnny Cash sings the title song from a soundtrack written by Carl Perkins and Bob Dylan
