SHALAKO opens in NY. Directed by Edward Dmytryk. Written by J.J.Griffith and Hal Hopper from the novel by Louis L'Amour. Colorful, mildly diverting, Brit-made Western with Sean Connery as the titular former Army scout who comes to the rescue of a snooty group of Euro toffs who have trespassed on Apache land. Brigitte Bardot adds some marquee glamor, along with Stephen Boyd, Jack Hawkins, Honor Blackman and Woody Strode.
