LOVE ME TENDER opens in NY. Directed by  Robert D. Webb. Written by Robert Buckner from a story by Maurice Geraghty. Elvis Presley makes respectable screen debut in modest, post Civil War set Western as youngest of 4 brothers entangled in fractious sibling rivalry love triangle. Film panders to its rising singing star's fan base with the inclusion of four songs. Richard Egan & Debra Paget get top billing.
