Written by Richard Lederer, William Tennant and director Floyd Mutrux, The Hollywood Knights, a raunchy, low budget riff on American Graffiti by way of Animal House, opens nationally. The knights in question are an ad hoc group of  prankish Beverly Hills high school seniors who elect to vent their displeasure at the closure of their favourite diner by spending Halloween night, 1965, trick or treating the suburb's local cops and parents with random acts of lewdness and debauchery. Robert Whul stars as the prime instigator of the film's litany of gross-out vulgarities, while future stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Tony Danza and Fran Drescher try to retain their dignity in brief appearances.
