SLITHER opens. TV commercials director Howard Zieff's first theatrical feature and W.D. Richter's first screenplay. Wonderfully offbeat, goofily freewheeling road movie/chase comedy caper with James Caan as ex-con who falls in with a bunch of likewise loveable bickering eccentrics on the trail of some hidden loot. Little seen, all but forgotten gem. Co-starring Sally Kellerman, Peter Boyle Louise Lasser and Allan Garfield.
