RANCHO DELUXE opens in a handful of theaters. Directed by Frank Perry, from a screenplay written by novelist Thomas McGuane. Disarmingly droll, laid-back, Montana-set modern western with Jeff Bridges and Sam Waterston as a couple of shiftless, disaffected young slackers whose amateurish cattle rustling activities motivate an aggrieved rancher to hire a crusty rustler detective. Lively, quirky supporting cast includes Harry Dean Stanton, Clifton James, Elizabeth Ashley and a scene-stealing Slim Pickens.
