Adapted by John Farris from his same-titled novel, Brian De Palma's supernatural thriller The Fury opens. When a covert government agency kidnaps his telekinetic son (Andrew Stevens) for the purpose of exploiting his psychic gifts, a former CIA agent (Kirk Douglas) embarks on a rescue mission, aided and abetted by a young girl (Amy Irving) possessing similar paranormal abilities.
