Destined to be forever wear the sobriquet "the worst film ever made", Plan 9 From Outer Space opens in a handful of second run markets on the lower half a double bill. Written and directed by the irrepressible, talent-free Ed Wood, the film's nominal plot - alien invaders arrive on earth to punish mankind for using the bomb by raising the dead to march on major world cities - plays second fiddle to the gob-smocking litany of errors in continuity, design and exposition that infect just about every frame.
