AIRPORT (aka Flying High) opens nationally. Hijacking the premise (including large chunks of dialogue) of obscure 1957 B-picture Zero Hour, writer directors David & Jerry Zucker & Jim Abrahams give the ubiquitous 1970s' airport disaster movies their comeuppance with one of the most hilarious parodies committed to film. All star cast includes Robert Hays, Julie Hagerty, Leslie Nielsen, Lloyd Bridges, Robert Stack and Peter Graves.
