WHITE SQUALL opens. Directed by Ridley Scott, from a screenplay by Todd Robinson, based on the novel The Last Voyage of the Albatross. When a two masted sailing school brigantine, crewed by a group of teenagers under the tutalage of Jeff Bridges' stern captain, is sunk by a freak storm, with the loss of four lives, the captain is brought up on charges of negligence.
