THUNDERBALL opens in NY. Directed by Terence Young. Written by Jack Whittingham, John Hopkins and Richard Maibaum.  Bond #4 from Connery's 007 in the Bahamas on the trail of two atomic bombs  hijacked by SPECTRE from downed NATO plane. Adolfo Celi, Claudine Auger and Luciana Paluzzi make up the Euro-exotic cast alongside returning regulars Bernard Lee, Lois Maxwell and Desmond Llewellyn. Film is a huge international success, sending Tom Jones’ memorable title song, written by composer John Barry and Don Black, to the top of the charts.
