TRAPPED IN PARADISE opens to withering reviews. Written and directed by George Gallo. After carrying out an ill-conceived bank robbery in the peaceful, Christmas-decorated hamlet of Paradise, Pennsylvania, three gormless, ne’er-do-well siblings confirm their incompetence by botching their getaway and, as a consequence, inadvertently ingratiating themselves with the unwitting townsfolk they have robbed. A frantic, lowbrow, entirely disposable farce with surprisingly committed performances from Nicolas Cage, Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey.
