Affectionate, fanciful homage to late '20s Hollywood pivots on a murder investigation featuring the fictional pairing of Bruce Willis' cocky, silent movie cowboy Tom Mix with James Garner's retired legendary lawman Wyatt Earp. Offbeat, uneven, serio-comic caper fails to fully exploit its central conceit.
