One time Altman protege Alan Rudolph, working from a screenplay written by William Reilly and Claude Kerven,  makes an idiosyncratic detour into the noirish crevices of the mainstream thriller with a moody, dexterously assembled murder whodunnit with top drawer work from Demi Moore, Bruce Willis, Glenne Headly and Harvey Keitel.
